Questions people ask

Straight answers about what Breezberg_ teaches, what's free, how the AI teacher works and how certificates are verified.

What is Breezberg_?
Breezberg_ is Africa's first AI-powered financial education platform: a 36-module curriculum in personal money management, wealth building and finance for leaders, taught by an AI teacher, with certificates that anyone can verify. It is built in Tanzania, for the whole continent.
Who is it for?
Adults who want to manage money with confidence: students, people early in their careers and working professionals. Managers and team leaders can take the Finance for Leaders track. Colleges, universities and employers can enrol whole cohorts.
Is it free?
Learning is free: all 36 modules, the AI teacher (with a fair-use daily limit) and every module check. Certificate exams, capstone grading and certificates are part of Pro, TZS 99,999 a year paid with mobile money, or come with a seat sponsored by your institution.
How does the AI teacher work?
Each module has a written core: learning objectives, key concepts and country facts, with sources. The AI teacher takes you through it one objective at a time, uses local examples (Tanzania's edition is live today, with more countries to follow), checks that you understood and answers your questions. When it needs a current figure it searches regulators, government agencies and licensed institutions only, such as the Tanzania Revenue Authority, and shows its sources.
What won't the AI teacher do?
It teaches; it does not advise. It won't tell you which share, fund or loan to choose, and like any teacher it can make mistakes, so check important figures against the sources it cites. Breezberg_ is financial education, not financial or investment advice.
Which AI powers it, and what does it see about me?
Our AI runs on Claude by Anthropic, with Groq as a backup provider if Claude is briefly unavailable. Only your first name and your learning context (your question and the module you're studying) are sent, never your email, phone number, ID or payment details. When it searches the web for a current figure, it uses trusted official sources only and shows its citations. The Privacy Policy has the details.
Which countries does it cover?
Tanzania is live: every module has Tanzanian figures, taxes, pensions and mobile money. The curriculum and the certificates are the same worldwide, so you can learn from anywhere. Editions for Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa and other countries are coming; join the waitlist to hear when yours launches.
Which certificates can I earn?
Three stackable certificates: Personal Money Management (modules 1–18), Wealth Building (modules 19–29) and Finance for Leaders (modules 30–35). Each needs the programme's exam, with a pass mark of 70%, and the capstone: your own personal financial plan (module 36).
How are certificates verified?
Every certificate is digitally signed and has a unique code and QR code. Anyone can check it at breezberg.com/verify, which shows the holder's name, the programme, the issue date and whether it is valid. Certificates are also issued as Open Badges 3.0 credentials and can be added to LinkedIn in one click.
Who marks the exams and capstone plans?
The AI marks them straight away against a published rubric. Instructors review their own cohort's work, and Breezberg_ reviewers check a sample of everyone else's. While a result is being reviewed, the verify page shows the certificate as pending moderation.
Can my college, university or company use it?
Yes. Institutions get cohorts with enrollment codes, an instructor dashboard with moderation and progress export, and can sponsor seats so their learners get certificate access. Tell us about your institution on the For institutions page.
How do I pay?
With mobile money: Mixx by Yas (Tigo Pesa), Airtel Money or HaloPesa, through a prompt on your phone. No card is needed. Vodacom M-Pesa payments aren't supported yet.
Are the stock market tools still available?
Yes. The Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange charts, analytics and AI explainers are still available to every signed-in learner, free, as market tools for learners, alongside Part 4 of the curriculum. They are educational and never give buy or sell recommendations.
Is my data secure?
Passwords are hashed, sessions use HttpOnly cookies, every request to our servers is signed, and we never sell your data. You can delete your account from Settings at any time.
